Generation One
For FamiliesThank you for taking this opportunity to get acquianted with us.
We value the relationaship we build with families, and will do all we can to provide a positive environmentin which your student can grow and mature. We want to be a resource to you as you work to "train up your child in the way they should go".
We appreciate the trust you place in us by allowing your student(s) to participate in Generation One. We do not want to take this responsibility lightly. If there is anything we can do to support you, please let us know.
We look forward to knowing you, and to a long, awesome relationship with you and your family. God bless you and your home.
What are the ages in Generation One?
Our focus in on middle and high school students, however we will allow mature 6th graders to join us, and we will allow a student to remain for one year after high school graduation, on a case-by-case basis.
Our church offers ministry for all ages, including opportunities for both children and young adults.
What precautions do you take to screen your adult workers?
We carefully choose our staff through a detailed screening process which includes: a personal interview, fingerprinting, investigation into background, character, employment, and residential history, and leadership ability.
What time should I arrive to pick my student up following a scheduled service?
Please view our schedule, and arrange to pick up your student within 30 minutes of dismissal.
Why do you have so many activities and services?
We provide a variety of opportunities for your student(s) (and famly) to get involved. Each of our service offerings is unique and focuses on a specific outcome.
Of our "big events" there are two for which e strive to participate: camp and convention.
In order of priority, annually, we provide:
1. Youth Camp
2. Youth Convention
3. Dare2Share
4. Missions Trip(s)
5. A fun trip
We also provide numerous chances for students to raise money to lessen the financial impact on families, and we encourage you to take advantage this.
How should my student dress to attend your church?
Our only request is that students dress modestly and respectfully. T-shirts and jeans or long shorts ae fine in most cases. Graphic on shirts should not be vulgar or offensive in nature.
Do you have classes, services or activities for the rest of our family?
Absolutely. Our church offers ministry for all ages. In addition, if you'd ever like to see us in action, we welcome parents to attend any of our youth services, as our guest, at any time, and allow you to come "unannounced". We don't put on a show to impress you; we are committed to excellence at all times. What you see is what you get.
What is my student being taught?
We recognize the Bible as the inspired, infalliable Word of God. Students are taught that God, not the church or tradition, is the basis and authority of their faith. They are not taught what to think, but rather how to think for themselves.
If you have questions or want to talk about this further, we welcome you to contact us
How can I get involved or help out?
We welcome your involvement and participation, and there we can always find ways for you to help.
